Quote steel buildings in minutes — with the math to back it up.

MeTabulator turns a building spec into a full material takeoff, cost estimate, preliminary ASCE 7 / AISC 360 engineering calcs, and a DXF/PDF drawing set — every number traceable, every result labeled for your engineer's review.

3D visualizer demo loop — coming with the launch video

Hours per quote, gone

Spreadsheets and re-keyed takeoffs turn every serious inquiry into an afternoon. Describe the building once; the takeoff, cutting lists, and price follow.

No more engineering surprises

Member sizes that change after the bid can erase your margin. Preliminary checks up front mean the sizes your engineer sees are the sizes you priced.

Stop redrawing the same building

Plans, elevations, and details regenerate with the design — not in a CAD session the night before the meeting.

One run, four deliverables

Material takeoff & cost estimate

A complete parts list with optimized stock cutting, priced from your own catalog — your suppliers, your labor rates, your margins.

Preliminary engineering, shown work included

ASCE 7 wind, snow, and seismic loads; AISC 360 member checks; and a calculation trace for every value — formula, code citation, inputs, result. No black boxes: every number shows its work so your engineer can verify it fast.

Drawing sets in minutes

Multi-sheet DXF and plot-ready PDF: foundation plan, framing, elevations, isometric overview, and connection details — numbered ARCH D sheets.

A 3D visualizer that sells

Walk your customer around their building — doors, colors, and all — before they sign.

How it works

1

Describe the building

Dimensions, bays, openings, enclosure, site criteria — in a form, not a CAD package.

2

Review the numbers — and the flags

Price, members, and drawings appear together. Anything outside the validated envelope is flagged, never hidden.

3

Send the quote, hand off the calcs

Your customer gets the proposal; your engineer gets a calc package with every value traceable to its code provision.

Built to be checked. Engineering results are preliminary and clearly labeled for licensed-engineer review. Every calculation is traceable to its code provision (IBC 2021 + ASCE 7-16 + AISC 360-16 — editions locked per run, never mixed), and out-of-scope conditions produce explicit review flags instead of silent assumptions.

Frequently asked

Does this replace my engineer?

No — and it's not trying to. MeTabulator produces preliminary engineering calculations and design assistance only. Every engineering output is labeled "PRELIMINARY — FOR LICENSED ENGINEER REVIEW." Final design responsibility always remains with the licensed professional engineer of record, who verifies all inputs, assumptions, code criteria, load paths, connections, foundations, and final documents. What MeTabulator does is make that review faster: every value carries its formula, inputs, and code citation, so your engineer verifies instead of redoing.

Which building codes does it use?

Design runs are locked to one code edition set — IBC 2021 + ASCE 7-16 + AISC 360-16 — and provisions from different editions are never mixed in a single run. Every criterion is visible and engineer-overridable.

What buildings are in scope?

Rectangular weld-up steel buildings — the bread and butter of metal-building dealers and erectors. Anything outside the validated envelope (partial enclosures, large openings, crane loads, high seismic, and similar) is explicitly flagged for engineer review rather than silently estimated.

Can I use my own material prices?

Yes. Estimates price against your own catalog — your beams, purlins, panels, labor rates, and margins — so the number you quote is your number.

How does the trial work? How do I cancel?

The trial is 14 days with no credit card required. If you subscribe, you can cancel anytime in the app in a couple of clicks — no phone calls, no retention scripts. Your data stays exportable.
